Apparatus
CVFD has five pieces of in-service apparatus; E-6, E-5, Tanker-1, Rescue-1, and our boat Marine Rescue-1. CVFD uses Marine Rescue 1 in keeping the waters and islands surrounding Castine safe. We recently just received our new engine E-6, which replaces our ageing engine E-4. E-6 was put into active service in February of 2004.
