Marine Rescue 1

 

Marine 1 was obtained in 1999, it is a 22ft Wellcraft with a 150 HP Johnson outboard. Marine 1 is primarily used for search and rescue, assisting boats in distress, responding to medical emergencies in the harbor, and carrying fire equipment and personnel to offshore calls which are inaccessible by land. Marine Rescue-1 is kept in the water at a special berth at the Castine Town Dock from early spring to late fall.
